Twogether in Texas

As you make plans for your wedding day, don't forget to think about what comes after the “I do's” … the happily ever after! Make a commitment to focus on your relationship with your spouse-to-be. Cultivating a healthy marriage now will pay great dividends in your future!

Recently, a law was created to encourage healthy marriages in our state. The idea is for couples to enroll in a free marriage class before getting hitched. Couples who complete an approved 8-hour course won't have to pay the typical $60 marriage license fee. {And who doesn't want to save a little cash?} They can also skip the 72-hour waiting period to get married.

Texas partners with a local network of community-based organizations and churches who offer the class. For a list of Dallas-area locations, click here or search for a class in your area.
